Adventures in sound are promised for kids on Saturday afternoons in June through sonic workshops led at Taigh Chearsabhagh by artist Calum Ferguson.
The three free workshops designed by Taigh Chearsabhagh’s musician-in-residence Duncan MacLeod will investigate how sound can be used to create music and sound effects.
The workshops, running on Saturdays, June 3,10, and 17, will teach kids aged 8 to 14 how to record indoor sand outdoors and edit sound using specialist equipment. There will also be the chance to experiment with weird and wonderful technologies that can record sound underwater and underground.
Says Taigh Chearsabhagh: “Calum will be using Gaelic and English throughout the workshops – you are welcome to move between languages too.”
Booking is via the Taigh Chearsabhagh website.
