Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has announced its increasing the cost of charging electric vehicles at its charger network.

As of Saturday, July 1, the new charging rates are as follows:

Journey Charger (43kW AC & 50kW DC/CHAdeMO connection)

• • 59p per kWh
• • £1.00 minimum charge
• • £1 minimum overstay fee applied after 45 minutes (+15 grace period) up to a maximum of £30.

Destination Charger (7kW - 22kW AC connection)

• • 45p per kWh
• • £1 minimum charge
