There's a chance to travel by boat to Ronay from Grimsby on Saturday, June 10, led by Alasdair MacEachen.
Departing from Kallin Pier, at 11am, the boat will circumnavigate the depopulated island of Ronay, taking in the dramatic scenery and wildlife, before landing at Bagh na Caiplich on the eastern side of the island close to the foundations of the substantial but never completed shooting lodge planned by Captain Allan MacDonald in the 1890s.
The return to Kallin will be at about3:30pm. The trip is restricted to 12 places so early booking is advised.
The cost is £50 per head. Advance booking is essential - contact Anna Mackenzie
