The Western Isles Community Care Forum has organised a series of events to celebrate National Carers Week next month.
And they are encouraging carers to arrange a break and join the forum at one of the events.
The events begin in Stornoway on Monday, June 5, in Bayhead’s Failte Centre. There are two guest speakers, Gordy Macdonald of Police Scotland on cybercrime and Karen Mackenzie (NHS/Alzheimer Scotland), discussing communications with people living with dementia.
The next event is on Tuesday, June 6, in the Harris Hotel, Tarbert, where the guest speakers are David Nicolson talking about community equipment and Gordy Macdonald of Police Scotland on cybercrime.
National Carers Week is marked in Uist on Wednesday, June 7, in Benbecula’s Dark Island Hotel. The speakers will be Flora Macdonald discussing community equipment and Gordy Macdonald of Police Scotland on cybercrime.
The final event is in Barra’s Castlebay Hotel, where the guest speakers are Jeanne Christie from Citizen Advice and Gordy Macdonald of Police Scotland on cybercrime.
