Eriskay Historical Society is hosting an evening next month about recent Eriskay placename research.
The event in Eriskay Hall on February 24 will feature the work of Sabhal Mor Ostaig PhD student Liam Crouse who has studied the folklore of local placenames and landmarks and how they have changed over the years.
Liam, who also studies with Tobar an Dualchais, will play a selection of their recordings related to Eriskay placenames.
The event is free as it is funded by Seachdain na Gàidhlig’s Small Grants Fund with support from Bòrd na Gàidhlig.
