Jack Renfrew of GetJacked Health and Fitness, 10 Westview Terrace, Stornoway, has submitted a proposal to convert a Bells Road store into a fitness studio.
He is seeking planning consent to convert the former kitchen and bathroom appliance store at 25 Bells Road into a gym.
Erect an agricultural store
Calum Daniels, of 14 Mackenzie Avenue, Sandwick, has submitted a prior notification for the erection of a general-purpose agricultural shed and tractor store at 78A Newmarket.
He plans to erect a 7.2 metre x 7.2 metre building on the croft at the Newmarket address.
Erect a house and garage
Planning consent is being sought to erect a house and detached garage at 21A Gress.
The applicant, Don Murray, of 29A Gress, wishes to build a five-bedroom single-storey home on a site extending to 1500 square metres.
The application also seeks permission to instal an air source heat pump.
Instal solar PV panels
Urras Storras an Rubha has applied for planning permission to install 16 solar panels at Shop And Cafe Aros An Rubha in Knock.
The community building’s south-facing elevation already has 48 panels installed. The additional panels will match their size, type, and positioning.
Alter and extend a house
A planning application has been submitted for the alteration and extension of a dwelling at 15 Crowlista. Uig.
The applicant, Sophie Boyd Brown, of 12A Crowlista, is seeking planning permission to erect a rear extension to create a new kitchen and shower room. The proposals also include creating parking and installing a private drainage system.
Demolition and erection of a new house
Grimersta Estate has applied to the Comhairle for planning permission to demolish a staff accommodation block and erect a new house at Grimersta Lodge.
The 100 square metre house is to be attached to the existing lodge to accommodate up to six seasonal staff. A small area of the existing accommodation integral to the lodge building is to be retained.
A submitted design statement says the proposal is to demolish the existing staff accommodation and erect a six-bedroom single-storey house with a kitchen, drying room, living/dining area and two shower rooms.
Grimersta Lodge was built in 1861. The current 145 square metre accommodation block is used by estate ghillies and is in “a state of serious disrepair.”
Alter and extend a house
Planning consent is being sought to alter and extend the dwelling at 19 Aird Tong.
The applicants, David and Elizabeth Lambert, of the same address, wish to demolish the existing single-storey extension and replace it with a new single-storey extension, including an attached garage. The proposals also include installing a polytunnel and ground-mounted solar panels.

Planning consent is being sought to erect a detached domestic garage at Ardgour, 30A Benside, Newmarket.
The applicant is Steven Macleod, of the same address.
Retrospective planning permission
Andrew Sprague, of 3 Park Barvas, has applied to the Comhairle for retrospective planning permission after commencing work on a barn conversion at the address.
He is now applying for change of use permission to convert an agricultural barn into a two-bedroom dwelling house.
